THE SCOOP ON DERMAL FILLERS

Myth: Dermal fillers will make you look fake
Fact: Placed correctly, dermal fillers will replace lost volume & enhance your natural beauty

In our clinic, we hear many women (men too, but particularly women)  say, “I don’t want to look like a Kardashian, and if I get fillers, I will look as fake as they do

For the women thinking that they will end up looking fake, we want to shed light on how dermal fillers are meant to be used. They are meant to address aging concerns such as sunken-in cheeks, hollowing under the eyes, lips that have gone down in size (part of the normal aging process), and narrowing jawline that falls into your neck. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally found sugar protein in our cells that holds water and helps keep our skin hydrated and plump.

Our HA dermal fillers (Juvederm and Restylane Collections) are meant to replace lost volume, contour, lift, and plump key areas within the face to give yourself a natural and rejuvenated look. A key interesting fact is the equivalent to 1ML of filler (1 syringe) is ⅕ tsp ~ So it takes 5 syringes to make 1 tsp!  Such a small amount!

If you are concerned about the potential of looking “fake” or overdone, remember that is based on frankly too many syringes and the provider’s poor technique/education/experience, etc… Our Nurse Injectors have many years of direct experience in medical aesthetics, are fully licensed, and hold numerous certifications in the art of neuromodulators and dermal fillers. We are all about creating natural, gorgeous results that enhance your natural beauty and slow the aging process.
