Emsculpt Neo is a non-invasive device designed to destroy fat, strengthen, and tone muscles on the body. Emsculpt NEO uses 2 modalities at the same time to produce these effects including High Frequency Electromagnetic stimulation (HIFEM) that produces magnetic pulses to stimulate a muscle contraction – people can experience up to 20,000 contractions in a 30 minute treatment. Simultaneously, radiofrequency energy (RF) heats both the skin and muscles to tighten the skin, destroy fat and improve muscle tone. We recommend 4-6 treatments to begin and these are typically spaced about a week (5-10 days) apart. Completing a full treatment series is necessary to maximize treatment efficacy. Additional treatments may be necessary depending on patients’ baseline starting point, their response to the procedure and their desired results. Body areas we can treat with this technology include: arms, abdomen, buttocks, flanks (love handles), thighs and calves.
We would describe the treatment as intense, like a workout, but not painful. You should experience warmth, but should feel no hot spots. Finally, there is NO downtime, just some mild pinkness to the treated area can be seen, but typically resolves within the hour.
For optimal results, we recommend that you are very well hydrated throughout your treatment series, meaning you want to start hydrating at least one day prior to your treatment. RF energy needs water molecules to be most successful. As with most skin treatments, results can also be affected by smoking, poor diet, and your overall health.
For body treatments, we encourage you to wear comfortable clothing which may be removed during treatment in order to apply the handpieces to the treatment areas. You will need to remove all jewelry, watches and will not be able to utilize your electronic devices during treatment. You are encouraged to eat a balanced and healthy diet to both achieve and maintain your results. Before and after photos are taken to measure treatment effectiveness. Additionally, we will measure weight and hydration levels when evaluating results and for your medical records.
Emsella focuses on incontinence and is showing to also provide improved sexual experience by increasing blood flow to the pelvic floor area. This technology is comparable to doing 11-12,000 Kegels in one sitting (28 minute tx)
We begin most patients with a series of 6 treatments ( 2 per week for 3 weeks is ideal) Maintenance will typically be one treatment quarterly to every 6 months for a healthy woman / new mom whose incontinence is less severe. For more severe incontinence, it can be up to once a month for maintenance. The quality of life for Emsella patients is what is the most rewarding to see. It has been a topic people avoided talking about in the past, but when they find out how common it is and that there is a non-surgical option to help, this can provide life changing results.
You will meet with one of our expertly trained Injectors that specialize in facial aesthetics, anatomy, and facial proportions. We will assess your face and thoroughly discuss your concerns and aesthetic goals to develop a customized treatment plan. Your treatment will take on average about 1 hour. This will consist of ‘before’ photos to document your progress – these are HIPAA compliant – and just for you and your provider to better appreciate your amazing results! Then a topical numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area for about 15 minutes. For even added comfort – you may add on Pro-Nox – Nitrous oxide gas to even offer more comfort and relaxation with your treatment.
Immediately prior to injecting our Nurse Injectors will scan the treatment area with a Clarius Ultrasound, so that we have the best understanding of your unique anatomy to ensure the safest treatment possible. The actual treatment itself on average only takes 10-20 minutes of your 1 hour appointment. We will review your post care in detail and send you home with a copy to review. Some noticeable improvements are typically seen the same day! Full results are seen at 2 weeks approximately post treatment. For new patients and new treatments areas we always encourage you to come back for follow-up photos so we can compare and contrast and see how you are aging in reverse!
